We are booking up for our fall bulk beef orders, but we still have a few 1/4, 1/2, and whole beefs for sale! If you have never bought beef in bulk before don’t worry we will help you! Here are some common questions we get asked….
How much is it?
Our beef is currently priced at $4.00/lb hanging weight plus processing. For a quarter of beef the hanging weight is usually around 175 lbs. In total with processing it is around $825 for a quarter of beef. On average each quarter will save our customers at least 10% over current grocery store prices.
How much freezer space will I need?
For a 1/4 of beef you will need about 5 cubic feet of freezer space.
How is it packaged and how long will it last?
Our beef is vacuum sealed to preserve its freshness and prevent freezer burn. If kept frozen it will stay good for at least a year.
What cuts do I get?
You can customize your cuts just about any way you would like. There are a few limitations on a quarter. If you don’t know what cuts you want, don’t worry we can walk you through it!
How much meat will I get?
There are a lot of factors that go into how much meat you will actually get. Such as size of the animal and if you get a lot of cuts with bone in versus bone out. Below is an example of what you would get with a 1/4 of beef. Please remember this is just an AVERAGE, every order will vary and these are not guaranteed amounts. It will depend on the hanging weight of the animal and how you would like your beef cut.
45lbs of lean burger
6 1” ribeye steaks
6 1” sirloin steaks
6 1” T-bone steaks
2 1” porterhouse steaks
4 1” round steaks
11 cubed steaks
2 chuck roasts (about 3 lbs each)
1 rump roast (about 3lbs)
1 tip roast (about 2.5lbs)
4lbs short ribs
4lbs stew meat
1 piece of brisket (about 2lbs)
Beef liver
Soup bones
Again this is just an ESTIMATE, the actual amounts for your 1/4 may be more or less.
